What this service entails

Individual therapy is a private, weekly collaboration. We start by mapping exactly how anxiety, low mood, or emotional swings show up in your days — then use proven techniques to loosen their grip.

Sessions blend cognitive-behavioral therapy, exposure work, and emotion-regulation skills. You'll leave most sessions with one small, concrete practice to try — so progress compounds between visits, not just within them.

What's included

  • 50-minute weekly sessions, in person or online
  • Treatment for anxiety, worry, panic, and phobias
  • Support for bipolar disorder and mood instability
  • Emotional dysregulation and distress-tolerance skills
  • Between-session practices and progress tracking

How individual therapy works

Step 01

Map it

We chart your triggers, patterns, and what matters most to you.

Step 02

Practice it

Weekly sessions build CBT, exposure, and regulation skills step by step.

Step 03

Keep it

We space sessions out as gains hold, ending with a relapse-prevention plan.

Who it helps

  • Adults whose worry, rumination, or panic limits work and relationships
  • People navigating bipolar highs and lows who want steadier ground
  • Anyone whose emotions feel outsized, fast, or hard to recover from

Most clients notice meaningful change within 12–16 sessions. Focused work on OCD or specific phobias can move faster; complex trauma may take longer — we'll be honest about the timeline from the start.

If worry, panic, or avoidance is shrinking your life, one-to-one CBT and exposure therapy are among the most effective options available. The free consultation will confirm fit.

Yes. Individual therapy works equally well via secure video across New York and New Jersey — many clients mix in-person and online weeks.

With your permission, I collaborate with psychiatrists and primary-care doctors so therapy and medication support each other rather than working in parallel.
