What this service entails

Children don't always have words for big feelings — so pediatric therapy meets them where they are. With younger kids we use play, stories, and games to practice brave behavior; with teens we use straight-talking CBT adapted to their world of school, friends, and screens.

Parents are partners in the process. You'll get regular updates, concrete coaching for home, and school-collaboration support when classroom accommodations would help.

What's included

  • 45-minute sessions for ages 6–17, in person or online
  • Social anxiety and difficulty making friendships
  • Control, frustration, and emotional regulation skills
  • Parent coaching and school collaboration
  • Clear progress updates for the whole family

How pediatric therapy works

Step 01

Meet & understand

Parent intake plus a relaxed first session where your child sets the pace.

Step 02

Practice bravery

Play-based and CBT exercises build coping skills one small win at a time.

Step 03

Coach the team

Parents learn the same tools, so progress continues at home and school.

Who it helps

  • Children who worry excessively, avoid school, or struggle to make friends
  • Teens weighed down by social anxiety, perfectionism, or big emotions
  • Families wanting practical tools, not just a place to vent

Children often respond quickly — many families see change in 8–12 sessions. Teens working through deeper anxiety or mood concerns may continue longer, with goals reviewed together each month.
